  No Drinks For Jimmy came out of the Baltimore/DC rock scene with a sound built on hard rock, alternative, punk, and pop influences. Heavy when it needs to be, melodic when it matters, and never especially interested in staying inside one lane. Formed in 1998 by brothers Dan Wilson (bass) and Doug Wilson (drums), the band is completed by vocalist Kurt Lobdell and guitarist Joe Chichetti. More than two decades later, the same four members continue to write, record, and perform together despite now being spread across multiple states.

The band released the EP Find the Fourth in 2017, followed by the full-length Verse•Chorus•Rise in 2021. In 2024, Three Live Pours captured three songs in their natural habitat: loud, live, and without polish getting in the way. The standalone single Not the One followed that same year, while 2025’s Year of Me (The Brunswick Song) pushed the band into a more melodic, pop-punk direction and earned international radio play, press coverage, and new listeners around the world.

Their latest single, “Broken,” turns the volume and weight back up. Driven by muscular guitars, a pounding rhythm section, and lyrics centered on frustration, repetition, and emotional collapse, the song pulls from the hard-rock and post-grunge side of No Drinks For Jimmy while retaining the hooks that have always defined the band. Released in August 2026, Broken follows the band’s 2025 appearance at the legendary Whisky A Go Go in Los Angeles and marks the latest chapter in a group that continues to evolve without abandoning what made it No Drinks For Jimmy in the first place.

After nearly three decades, the goal remains remarkably simple: write songs they believe in, play them like they mean it, and keep finding people who want to hear what comes next.
